George Szlawski is a special counsel who has a broad practice in industrial relations, workplace and employment law. George Szlawski has recently joined Anderson Rice to
head up our employment law section. George has more
than 25 years experience in all aspects of employment
law and work place relations. He has acted for employers
and has worked for employer and employee
organizations in a variety of industries, preparing and
running industry wide cases before State and Federal
Tribunals.
George has held senior government positions and
provided advice to government departments and
employers on a large variety of contractual issues at a
time of major change and restructuring in industry. In
recent times he has broadened his interest to aspects of
commercial transactions, litigation and intellectual
property law.
Over the last 10 years George has held senior positions as
partner and principal with two Victorian boutique law
firms.
George advises on all aspects of the employment
relationship, industrial relations, change management,
industrial action, occupational health and safety and
independent contractor arrangements. He acts for
clients in court and tribunal proceedings, in all
jurisdictions.
George holds a Master of Laws degree and whilst George
has extensive experience in advocacy before courts and
specialist tribunals his principal objective is to provide
practical business solutions to clients for negotiated
outcomes.
George also prepares and delivers
employment law seminars on topical
employment and workplace
relations and will be preparing and
presenting a series of employment
law seminars.
